Mother Nature was in her full glory Saturday at the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. I have been visiting dune country since I was a kid, and Saturday was one of the best visits ever. High cool north winds made for active and heavy surf that too rough for swimming. But it was all good, the sand underfoot was just the right temperature for hiking, and the sight of big clouds whizzing across a blue sky made one just want to sit and enjoy the beauty of a singular August day at the beach.
