OBSERVATIONS ON HOW FOREST

PARK AND OAK PARK APPROACH

THE RACE ISSUE and census data that

might partially explain why

 

Oak Park pursues the goal of equal treatment of all races.

Forest Park pursues the goal of equal treatment of all races.

Forest Parkers won't vote for Trump but know where he's coming from.

 

In the 7/20/16 issue of the Wednesday Journal there were ten letters to the editor.

In the 7/20/16 issue of the Forest Park Review there were none.

 

Oak Park: 63% college degree or more

Forest Park: 39% college degree or more

 

Oak Park: 34% graduate degrees

Forest Park: 16% graduate degrees

 

Oak Park sees itself as a model to be emulated.

Forest Park doesn't see itself as a model of anything.

 

Oak Park feels it has a mission to help and/or advocate

for the poor and disenfranchised in Chicago.

Forest Park doesn't feel any mission to do the same

in Maywood (except for a few individuals).
