On Tuesday, July 1, Brookdale Plaza (formerly Holley Court Terrace), at 1111 Ontario, celebrated the induction of resident Millicent "Millie" Hosp into a very exclusive club. It was her 100th birthday, but she's not the only member of the 100-year club. Brookdale's two other centenarians, Winifred Smeadly and Ruth Brotman, joined her for the celebration.
That's over three centuries of lived experience, which makes us wonder about the total age of all of Brookdale's residents.
Maybe they can provide us with that when they send the "300-year-old" photo.
That means all three women were born before the start of World War I (but, sadly, long after the Chicago Cubs' last World Series championship).
