"The Fabulous Dr. Tweedy," a 1940s radio show, starring Frank Morgan, will be recreated (live stage radio reading), along with another old time radio gem, "Easy Aces," Tuesday, July 31st 7PM at the Chicago Cultural Center (Michigan & Randolph), Claudia Cassidy Theater.
"Tweedy" stars Lanny Lutz, from Oak Park, playing the title role, is directed by Mercita Demonk, also from Oak Park, and features renowned ABC TV broadcaster Joel Daly, as the hobo. "Easy Aces" is directed by Guy Barile.
Admission is free. The SAG/AFTRA senior Radio Players have been giving single performances of old time radio scripts in this theater for years. Admission is free, and the theater usually fills up by 6:45 PM. Entrance: 77 E. Randolph Street (at Michigan Avenue).
