Man caught with 87 bags of heroin in Oak Park

Oak Park police arrested Justin Dougherty, 28, of Western Springs on June 3 after police observed him walking in the alley in the 500 block of S. Humphrey Avenue. After a brief foot chase, he was taken into custody in the 100 block of S. Austin. Dougherty was also reportedly found to be in possession of 87 baggies of heroin. Read more...

Rotarians remember Anne Smedinghoff at memorial in Oak Park

Rotarians, both local and from Texas, gathered at a memorial luncheon on June 5 to remember Anne Smedinghoff. Two Texas District Governors with Rotary International and Assistant Texas District Governor Jim Moore, stood to present Rotary's Paul Harris Fellow award to Smedinghoff's parents in honor of their daughter's service. Read more...
