Geppetto's Toy Box is on the road to recovery after a fire this weekend at Velvet Rope caused some smoke damage. They have been updating their Facebook page on the status of, what they are calling, a 'spa day' for the toys.

On Monday, Geppetto's posted on their Facebook page

It's Monday at the Toy Box and time for an update! So the fire yesterday destroyed Velvet Rope, our neighbor to the east. Not only were we effected, but so was Flat Top Grill. We are all working hard today to assess the clean-up that will be necessary to get us back up and running. Flat Top is estimating early next week, but we are hopeful we'll be able to welcome you back in by the end of the week. Smoke damage is a slightly invisible foe that will need to be "scrubbed" in order to clear it. Air scrubbers are currently hard at work here pulling the soot out of the air and all our cuddly, furry friends have been sent out for a bath! We should have a better sense of a reopen date by tomorrow and will keep you posted. Thanks for hanging in with us - we're going to find a way to made "lemonade" out of this lemon!

On Wednesday, they posted a photo of empty shelves along with this explanation:

Well they've almost finished taking out all of our inventory. The store is bare and empty...no little toy friends to play with here, they all left for a little "spa time". Tomorrow the serious cleaning of the space begins! Walls, ceilings, ducts...whew! The toys will not be returning from their trip until around the 16th but we'll be busy painting, finishing floors and cleaning until then. (It's a bit lonely without them.)
