Grace Niewijk, a senior at Oak Park and River Forest High School, is one of 15 finalists for The BioGENEius Challenge. She will head to San Diego to compete in the International BioGENEIUS Challenge at BIO 2014, the international convention for the biotech industry, representing all students from across Illinois.
Organized by the Biotechnology Institute, The BioGENEius Challenge is the premier competition for high school students-from across the world-that recognizes outstanding research in biotechnology. The Challenge provides young STEM innovators and entrepreneurs a venue to showcase their research, in addition to helping them build a long-term support system for converting their dreams into reality.
