"Broader advertising exposure combined with an introductory discount to all new members is a great way to get businesses in bloom", said Tom Lynch, President and CEO of Visit Oak Park. "Within the last year, Visit Oak Park helped generate an estimated $479 million in spending in the Oak Park area, an increase of 7.8% from the previous year, a significant contribution to the local economy."

"We are all about creating awareness and interest in this area from visitors and residents alike," said Lynch. "Our multimedia marketing activities, including radio, print, Internet advertising and social media, as well as event sponsorship opportunities, are designed to bring people into our local businesses and help boost the economy. We were delighted to learn that our efforts contributed to a $1,000 tax savings for the average Oak Park area family in 2011, the last full year when results were available."

Established in 1992, Visit Oak Park is the official destination marketing organization for 21 diverse communities in West Cook County, and is dedicated to promoting the entire area as a premier leisure destination, thriving with centers of culture and commerce.
