Tye Johnson's fifth grade class from Beye Elementary School conducted a fundraiser earlier this year that raised more than $1000 in support of the fight against human trafficking. Based on the success of this initiative, the students will be conducting another fundraiser to benefit the same cause. The event, which is titled "Catching Dreams for Canvass," will be held at the Both Sides Art Gallery in Pilsen on Saturday, May 25 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Prior to the start of the event, the students will create original artwork during a workshop at the gallery. This artwork will be put on display and made available for sale during a reception being held immediately after the workshop. This reception, which is free and open to the public, will include a raffle and silent auction, a bake sale and music.
