Let's be clear at the outset: I know you could care less how I'm going to vote on Tuesday. I get that because I don't care who you are going to vote for. Each of us brings a personal set of experiences, beliefs and philosophies into the voting booth. On the other hand it would seem any blogger worth his keyboard should reveal his vote. Here's mine.
I will vote "Yes" on the referendum. I just thought WWSPD ("What would Sarah Palin Do") and then I vote the opposite. Easy. Peasy.
I won't vote for any of the incumbent District 200 candidates because they won't settle their interminable lawsuit with the Village. I'm also down on them for the way they handled getting rid of the old Superintendent. It's not just their decisions, it's the sneaky, secretive way they do business. I'm sure they have done some good things, but I'm just not going to vote for them. I am going to vote for Mr.Bokum. His son played on the soccer team I coached more than 10 years ago. Not once did he complain about his son's playing time, or my coaching defficiencies. A fine man.
I'm not voting for Parks. I don't know the issues, and besides really how could you possibly blow it as a Parks Commissioner.
Finally, as to the Village election I'm not going to vote for any of the VMA guys. I don't want to encourage them. I have a feeling that they won't need my vote. Did you know VMA has been in power longer than Khaddafi? Crazy. VMA is like Duke basketball. On the one hand you've got to admire them for their success. On the other hand you hate them for their success.
Please vote. Actually, I don't care if you vote or not. Many Americans have fought for ,and some have even died for your right not to vote. Remember that when you don't go into the voting booth on Tuesday.
