Oak Park's Aveda Salon volunteers for charity in Guinness World Record attempt on Earth Day

WHAT: Salon 212 will participate in a global 24-hour cut-a-thon on Earth Day, April 22. Aveda stylists in salons worldwide – from Tokyo, to Sydney, Moscow, London, New York and Oak Park – will volunteer their time to offer haircuts at a discount and all proceeds will be donated to Earth Month. The aim is to set a Guinness World Record for most money raised for a charity by haircuts in a 24-hour period. Salon 212 has set a fundraising goal of $500.00 This event is part of a global effort by the Aveda network of beauty professionals to raise $5 million for clean water in April 2013.
