When it's May in March

Rough Edges

If it seems to you like everything is flowering at once - it's not much of an exaggeration. Just this week I noticed Common Lilacs in bloom around town - typically a Mother's Day flower in Northern Illinois. On Tuesday I spied this big old bee hard at work pollinating Bluebells.  And these beautiful odd sights continue to dazzle in this strangely warm season.

I'm with you John - I'm a fan of sweatshirt weather. Here's hoping it's not 115 degrees in June ;)

There may be something wrong with me because as much as I enjoyed the early warmth, I was getting kind of tired of it! I think each month has its special charm, and March just got hijacked. Plus the early warmth was a reminder that summer humidity--my least favorite weather condition-- is not so far away. But this morning I got to wear my sweatshirt. Order is restored.

I walk outside every day and I'm amazed!
