A short break from extreme temps gave local residents good reason to get out and shake off some cabin fever while supporting the Oak Park River Forest Food Pantry at a benefit held at FitzGeralds on Saturday, February 22.
The sold-out show, which headlined The Black Lillies, also featured local Oak Park favorite, Cannonball. About 400 people packed the house and the event raised more than $12,500 for the organization.
Unfortunately, that same weather that is setting local record temps is also driving increased need among those served by the pantry.
