Oak Park, IL – Nick Sposato, alderman of the 36th Ward, has officially endorsed Richard Boykin in his bid for the First District Cook County Board just days away from the primary election on March 18. Sposato joins a host of elected officials, local faith-based leaders and multi-partisan organizations who have backed Boykin's bid in this race.

"Richard Boykin has the experience and vision to create real, tangible change for Cook County residents," said Alderman Sposato. "I look forward to collaborating with him once he's elected to bring the services and resources that our community needs."

A poll recently released by Boykin's campaign shows that he is leading the field of First District Cook County Board candidates with a 20-point lead. The poll surveyed 400 likely general election voters and was conducted by GBA Strategies from February 25 through February 27.

"As we are nearing the primary, every day counts to finish this race strong to a victory," said Boykin. "The polls indicate a promising lead. However, I will continue to work hard to engage First District constituents, from Austin to Westchester, and earn their votes."
