Oak Park issues snow emergency parking rules

Restrictions begin Feb. 8 at 10 p.m.

A snowstorm forecasted to drop up to a foot of snow in the Chicago area beginning Thursday night, Oak Park has put into effect its snow emergency parking rules.

The parking restrictions begin Thursday, Feb. 8 at 10 p.m., according to a village press release. 

Parking on the following designated snow routes is prohibited: Augusta, Jackson and Austin boulevards; Chicago, Harlem, Ridgeland, North and Oak Park avenues; Division, Garfield, Harrison, Madison and Lake streets; Roosevelt Road, and Wisconsin Avenue from Madison to the emergency entrance of Rush Oak Park Hospital.

All other streets parking is restricted to one side of the street depending on the date.

On Friday, parking on non-snow-route residential is allowed from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on the side of the street with odd-numbered addresses. The following day it is allowed on the even side of the street.
