The River Forest Service Club and League of Women Voters of Oak Park and River Forest will collaborate to host a District 90 Candidate Forum on February 21, 2013 at Concordia University. Meeting at 7:30 PM in Room 200 of the Christopher Center , the meeting will be held at 7400 Augusta Avenue in River Forest .

The Candidate Forum is open to the public and will be introduced by Robert Graham, RFSC president and former village trustee, and moderated by Peggy Kell, League co-President. It will allow an opportunity for candidates to share introductory remarks before a question and answer session. Questions will be pre-determined by the League with the possibility, if time allows, for audience-generated questions. The Forum is expected to last between 45-75 minutes in length.
The River Forest Service Club is a 75 year old organization that was founded to promote the civic interests and welfare of the Village. The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan political organization which encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues and influences public policy through citizen education and advocacy.

RF Election

Seems to me that the questions - if predetermined should be done by collecting ideas and needs that are on the radar of RF taxpayers. And lets make sure this is all above board and without bias. It is well known that just a few on the service club have a bias as to who wins this election.
