A reading of 'The Language of the Heart' will be shared on Sunday, Februrary 16, at 2:00 p.m. at The Magic Tree Bookstore in Oak Park, 141 N. Oak Park Ave. The reading will be offered by elementary students who make a commitment to this peacekeeping effort. People of all ages are invited to this reading as well as to listen to the original songs of peace which accompany this book.

A Language of the Heart was created by combining the creative talent and artwork of school children from Chicago and Afghanistan, with the musical inspiration of Kathy Sherman, CSJ, to bring a message of love and peace to the world.

This book is dedicated to Anne Smedinghoff of River Forest, a young American diplomat who was killed in Afghanistan on April 6, 2013, while delivering school books to children. Anne's hope was to create a more peaceful world by helping us all to recognize our similarities and respect our differences.

Please contact The Magic Tree Bookstore at (708)848-0770 to let them know how many people are coming.
