Congratulations to the three top student authors chosen from among 40 district-wide entries at the Young Authors' Conference, January 26! Hannah, 4th grade, Willard; Sarah, 3rd grade, Lincoln; and Fiona, 5th grade, Roosevelt, took the top honors.
They will now participate in the Illinois statewide Young Authors' Conference on May 18 in Bloomington. Students and their parents also heard from best-selling author Billy Lombardo, who helped present the awards and provided a break-out workshop. Thank you to the PTOs from each school for supporting the event, and our committee of parent organizers for helping it run so smoothly.
