Candidate Forum in Oak Park for 1st District Cook County Commissioner

Austin Weekly NewsWest Side Business Network, in partnership with Wednesday Journal and Forest Park Review, are hosting a Candidate Forum for the 1st District democratic candidates running for Cook County Commissioner in the March Primary. Dan Haley, Publisher of Wednesday Journal Publications, will be the moderator.

This event is open to the public and is meant to be an opportunity for the community to address any questions that they may have for the candidates. Please join us Tuesday, February 25th at 7pm at the Veteran's Room at the Oak Park Public Library, 834 Lake Street in Oak Park.

The candidates in attendence will be Blake SercyeRichard BoykinIsaac 'Ike' CarothersBrenda Smith and Ronald Lawless.

@ Tired: 2 things- 1. If the few piddly campaign signs you've around Oak Park impress you, you clearly don't know how they get down in the city. 2. How else would you suggest he let folks know he's running? For better or worse, Democracy is both noisy and invasive. Big kids understand.

One would think that someone who is "tired of taxes" would take the Cook County Board election a little more seriously.

Everywhere you look in Oak park, you see signs for Blake Seryce. For a minute there, I thought he might be running to un-seat Danny Davis. All this excitement for a County Board Commissioner?
