This picture captures the sense of late winter bleeding into early spring. There may be snow, but it is melting. It is the visual counter part to that first windless sunny day when there is the recognition that the sun is actually warming our palid faces. Both are harbingers of spring and the reminder that the worst of winter, even a mild one, is behind us.
