INDEPENDENT GROCERS DEALING FOR DOMINICK'S
Independent grocery chains affiliated with the Centrella cooperative are in
negotiations to buy as many as 10 Dominick's stores from Safeway, in
both the city and suburbs,sources tell Crain's.

 

This came up big at the President Anan-Trustee Peter town hall the other night.

Aldi previously expressed interest in returning to Oak Park and reports had them eyeing Madison St. as a location. Too bad that Meijer decided to open new stores in Melrose Park and North Riverside. Let's hope the owner of the Lake St. Dominick's is focused on securing a buyer in the very near future.
