King's Kloset, which opened on November 1st, is a unique children's boutique in the Oak Park Arts District Area at 144 Harrison Street. Owner Genetta Jackson discovered her passion through the joy she derived from finding affordable designer pieces to dress her son, King Jonathan Jackson, now 2 years old.

What once began as an over-extended shopping habit, has turned into a enthusiastic business venture. Jackson has a knack for finding fun, trendy, upscale and even collectable pieces for kids...recently, a rare vintage Mickey Mouse sweater. Jackson's eye for children's fashion is an asset to other parents who would love to save time and shop locally for their little ones. Offering personal shopping as an extension of her talents, she understands the importance of great products that will last in the washing machine.

Conveniently located on the corner of Harrison and Lombard Sts., King's Kloset is open daily from 10am to 6pm and also available by appointment. The boutique includes clothing, accessories, shoes and small toys. Currently available in King's Kloset is artist Toni Cacciatore, who specializes in children's portraits and personal illustrations, adding an creative atmosphere for this unique children and parent shopping experience.

When asked about her hopes for the future, Jackson states that she would like to continue to find fashionable treasures to fill her boutique and is looking forward to collaborating with other business owners for fundraising events, fashion shows and working with charities that support children's causes and needs.

Encouraging others to shop locally, she puts an emphasis on her motto, "You never know what you will find in the 'King's Kloset'!"
