Oak Park, IL – Oak Park Public Library has promoted an experienced leader from within who, in a newly expanded role, will develop system-wide approaches to deliver the best service to all library customers. Lori Pulliam will be in the newly created position of Manager of Branch Services and Customer Services.

"These changes help streamline the library's senior management team as we all prepare to develop a new shared vision and finalize a 2014 action plan that focuses on deeper community connections," said Oak Park Public Library Executive Director David Seleb.

"We're eager to combine teams from all locations to deliver highly personalized customer service," said Lori, who will lead a staff of 49 at all three library locations. She remains a key member of the library's senior management team.

I agree Violet. When I politely asked the counter staff at the Main Branch to trace a CD they lost between branches and were trying to charge me to replace, they couldn't have been nastier or less helpful. Haven't been back in over 10 years. Unprofessional and needlessly nasty people.

I hope she can create a more pleasant atmosphere at the Main Library because I know people who deliberately don't go there because of the negative behaviors they experience.
