With a renewed focus on changes to immigration and worker rights under the specter of a Donald Trump administration, Dominican University is presenting a forum featuring attorney Mony Ruiz Velasco from PASO (Proyecto de Accion de los Suburbias del Oeste) on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 6 p.m. at the auditorium on the college's Priory Campus, 7200 W. Division St.

Velasco will discuss potential expanded deportations, immigration rights and other issues related to immigration status and criminal convictions, according to a Dominican press release.

The forum, held in partnership with Arise, a faith-based nonprofit dedicated to workers' rights, will be held in English, Spanish and with Polish translation available. The event is free.
