The Oak Park and River Forest High School wrestling team is heading to Washington, Ill. to help with tornado relief efforts this weekend.

"Over the past few years our program has created a family-like bond with the Washington wrestling program; we refer to them as our 'southern brothers'. Many of the athletes and their families lost their homes and belongings in the devastating tornado," " wrote coach Joe Ordman in an email.

The team will be in Washington on Sunday. They are looking for food and clothing donations to give to families in the area.

Contact Joe Ordman, Octavius Bellamy, Mike Powell, Jim Messer, Ryan Venhorst or Donie Collins for more information.
