Community invited to discuss shared school, park administrative facilities

School District 97 and the Park District of Oak Park have scheduled a second community forum to discuss the proposed sharing of facilities, including building a new administrative building in the parking lot at Village Hall. 123 Madison St. The forum is scheduled for 10 a.m., Sat., Nov. 10, at Beye Elementary School, 230 N. Cuyler Ave. Residents are invited to ask questions after a brief presentation. Click here for more information on the proposal.

Volunteers needed

The Village of Oak Park offers a wide range of opportunities for public service to local residents through 17 Village advisory boards, commissions and communities. Current opportunities include the Farmers' Market Commission, the Civic Information Systems Commission and Community Relations Commission, with additional openings anticipated over the next several months.
