I'm sure almost all of you are still in a frenzy from yesterday's Poetry Day festivities. So why not focus those new found literate leanings on La Luna Saturday night? October 8 is International Observe the Moon Night - which proves there must be a holiday for everything.
The moon has inspired all of us at one time or another, and this event gives our nearby neighbor a little needed attention. All kidding aside, the Moon has some awesome features that are visible through binoculars or a telescope. But even if you aren't optically endowed even the seas of the Moon are visible to the naked eye!
Is there a better way to spend a warm autumn night with your sweetheart trying to ID the assorted maria on the Moon? Very romantic.....one might even say poetic.
