IDOT accepting public input on transportation plan
A series of public meetings to gather early input into the Illinois Department of Transportation's FY 2014 – 2019 Proposed Multi-Modal Transportation Improvement Program is scheduled for October. The Cook County meeting is set for 3 – 6 p.m., Tues. Oct. 16, in the James R. Thompson Center, 100 W. Randolph St., Chicago. The meetings will be in an open-house format, with a continuous audio-visual presentation and exhibits illustrating the current FY 2013 – 2018 plan. Web site offers guidance on health care benefits
A new website, healthcare.gov, provides easy to read, valuable information about the health benefits under theAffordable Care Act (ACA) signed into law on March 23, 2010. Healthcare.gov also provides resources for finding a healthcare provider, tools to help assess the quality of care and information about covered prevention services.
Village Board meeting agendas online
Residents interested in following the details of municipal policymaking have a range of options via the Village website. Meetings are streamed live and archived at www.oak-park.us/boardtv, where basic agendas are posted prior to the meetings. When meetings are archived for later viewing, agenda items are linked to the part of the video where the discussion occurred. For those interested in the details of the supporting materials, complete agenda packets are posted at www.oak-park.us/agendas. The complete packages often are very large and can take time to download and open, depending on the speed of the user's internet service provider.
