Dominican University and MB Financial Bank welcomed the two newest student fellows selected for the innovative MB Fellows Program – a program that provides scholarship support and intensive career preparation for Dominican undergraduate students with demonstrated financial need. Now in its second year, the MB Fellows Program is the result of Dominican's commitment to educating a diverse and academically talented undergraduate student body, and MB's dedication to cultivating a diverse workforce that reflects the communities it serves.
The newest fellows selected for the program are sophomores Justyna Gajda, a business administration major from Harwood Heights; and Dahlia Mijarez, a member of the Honors Program from Plano. They join juniors Rocio Aguilar, Berwyn, and Asad Azam, Elmhurst, the first MB Fellows. The students were introduced and welcomed into the program at the recent grand reopening reception of the MB banking center in River Forest.
Each MB Fellow receives:
- A $5,000 scholarship each year for three years (sophomore, junior, senior)
- Mentoring from MB executives for three years
- Opportunities for part-time employment at an MB banking center during school
- Paid summer internships with MB before junior and senior years
In addition, as part of the program the students work toward completing Dominican's Leadership Certificate Program. Upon graduation, the fellows are invited to apply to MB's Leadership Development Program.
