Gather your team* and join us on Friday, Nov. 18 at the Main Library for a lively, social evening of mind-bending collaborative (and competitive) fun ... cracking the Kettlestrings' Code!

Long before Ernest Hemingway…
Before Frank Lloyd Wright…
Before Ray Kroc, and yes,
Before even Cecily Strong…..
There were Joseph and Betty Kettlestrings.

This couple--intrepid immigrants, crafty entrepreneurs, and all-around fun folk--are the original Oak Park power couple. You may know them as the founders of our fair village, but did you know that they also relished intrigue and trickery? Recently unearthed information has proven that the Kettlestrings left behind a series of clues in order to confound and delight us.

Can you and your team solve the Secret in the Stacks?

This one-of-a-kind puzzle hunt has been designed especially for Oak Park by the creative minds at The Mystery League, puzzlemasters extraordinaire and the brains behind The Last Defender. Learn more at http://www.mysteryleague.com/.

*The library team puzzle hunt is designed for teams of 4-5 people. If there are fewer than 4 people registered on your team, you'll be grouped with participants into teams of 4-5.

  • At least one team member must be an Oak Park Public Library cardholder.
  • All participants must be 21+.
  • Main Library doors open at 6:30 pm with free appetizers and a cash bar.
  • Puzzle hunt begins at 7 pm sharp.
