Oak Park Apartments, the Oak Park area's largest renter of apartments, now offers I-GO Car Sharing at its buildings at Austin & the Eisenhower Expressway as well as Austin & Lake.
I-GO is a Chicago-based non-profit car sharing company that provides eco-friendly vehicles by the hour or by the day at hundreds of locations around the Chicago area.
The two Austin Avenue locations are the first to be located at Oak Park Apartments buildings. "I-GO makes getting around easy, and we are pleased to offer our residents another amenity that makes life better," says Bob Planek, co-owner of Oak Park Apartments. "Partnering with I-GO is also one other way we are 'going green'.
"From our participation in the Nicor Gas Multi-family Home Energy Savings program to providing recycling programs for our tenants and most recently our work with I-GO, we are working to be more eco-friendly—and we're always trying to be more tenant friendly."
I-GO members can access an eco-friendly car 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Using I-GO is easy: simply reserve a vehicle online or over the phone, show up at the vehicle location and use an access card to get in the car. "I-GO is a perfect match with Oak Park Apartments," says Richard Kosmacher, Director of Business Development at I-GO. "We both want to provide people with access to a car when they need it and help build community."
