On Wednesday, October 15th at 2 PM, the West Suburban Medical Center's Center for Diabetes and Nutrition Education will demonstrate how to make healthy dips and snacks to curb your hunger yet keep your blood sugar steady and stable. The program will be held at the River Forest Community Center.

This program is part of "Celebrating Seniors All Year Long", a series of programs designed for seniors but open to all. They are being delivered in partnership with the River Forest Township. The township and library share a common mission of serving senior citizens. The township is also supporting the library's Computer Learning Lab for seniors, held throughout the year at the library.

The final program in the series will be held on Monday, Nov. 10th, at 10 a.m.: Silver Sneakers Sample

With exercises that can be done sitting or standing, attendees who come to the Community Center will get a taste of what happens at the Silver Sneakers class at the West Cook YMCA in Oak Park. At the same time, they will learn more about the important role fitness plays as we age.
