River Forest, IL - The River Forest Public Library is pleased to announce that it has received a "Back to Books" grant in the amount of $2600.00 for our project entitled "Middle Grade Popular Reads."
The library purchased new materials for students in grades 5-8 for the launch of the its Middle School Reads collection. The development of the Middle School collection was a part of the recent second floor building upgrades.
"Our new middle school collection is filled with hundreds of books selected specifically to promote reading for pleasure," said teen librarian Margaret Banerji.
Funding for this grant project was awarded from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services to the Secretary of State/Illinois State Library under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA).
