Following our "expose" of litter under the overpass last week [Oak Parkers need to 'Adopt a Viaduct', Viewpoints, Sept. 25], someone swept through, litter-ally, and cleaned out all the accumulated crap. We're much obliged, but we'd love to give credit where credit is due. If you're the angel of mercy (or messy), let us know. Or if you know who did it, call them out. They deserve a pat on the back.
Now if we can just make this a consistent habit.
Meanwhile, some other anonymous kind-ster has been leaving heart-shaped messages attached to the meters, such as the two in the photo above: "Don't be afraid to fall in love" and "Let someone love you without questioning it."
We love a good mystery, but we're also journalists who love to solve them. Anyone know who left their hearts behind? Is it the same person or persons who cleaned out the underpass?
Let us know.
