A group of female techies are giving WTF a totally new meaning.

Chicago business incubator 1871 is the home of many tech companies including those owned and operated by women. About 200 female entrepreneurs and tech enthusiasts showed up at 1871 Tuesday, Jan. 27 for the launch of Women Tech Founders (WTF). Oak Parker Jill Salzman, creator of The Founding Moms, was emcee for the night.

"There is a lot of chatter about supporting women founders and women in tech but not a lot of people actually doing it," Salzman told Crain's Chicago Business.

The group plans to meet quarterly.
