Happy Father's Day to all with some Fun, Free, hyper-local Events to celebrate!  Start on Friday, June 17th at the "Third Friday Gallery Walk" in the Oak Park Arts District which runs along Harrison Street between Ridgeland and Austin.  Take a stroll through the many galleries and meet the artists to discuss their visions and methods.  On Saturday, June 18, come on down to Unity Temple's "3rd Saturday Coffeehouse", 875 Lake St.  The fun starts at 7:30pm with sign-up (acoustic only please), open-mic from 8pm to 10pm. They do ask for a donation of $3-$5 if you can do it!  On Sunday, Father's Day itself, Dads and families should amble over to the Trailside Museum of Natural History at 738 Thatcher in River Forest for a guided walk through the woods.  You'll learn about local plants and animals.  Please register for this at 708-366-6530 or www.fpdcc.com.  And, to finish off the celebration, grab a chair or blanket, some picnic food if you want and get over to Scoville Park at Lake & Oak Park Avenue for "Summer Concerts at Scoville Park".  This Sunday's performers are a ragin' cajun group - The Midway Ramblers.  The music starts at 5:30 and goes until 7pm.  More info a http://www.oakparkparks.com.
