If you want to hop the "El" to the city, you'll find "Chicago Goes Turkish", the Chicago Turkish Festival being held at Daley Plaza, 50 W. Washington Street.  The festivities are on May 22, 23, 24, & 25th from 10am - 6pm.   You'll see traditional fashion shows, live concerts, dance performances, whirling dervishes, and, of course, Turkish foods, arts, and crafts.  More info at their site, .   Free for you.

And another fun event is the "Better Homes and Gardens Chill and Grill Party" to which you are invited!  It's in Lincloln Park between Stockton and Clark, just North of LaSalle Street.  You'll see grilling demos and there will be hands-on classes.  Live music, tastings from some of the city's best eateries, and a kids' activity center.  Get more info at .
