Welcome 2011 at a variety of local events.  How about a "New Year's Party at Wonder Works", 6445 North Avenue,  for the whole family?  Celebrate the excitement of the New Year at Oak Park's Children"s Museum with crafts, games, snacks and fun on December 31st from noon - 5pm.  This event is free with general admission.  Call 708-383-4815 or visit www.wonder-work.org for more details. If you haven't visited this wonderful playground - make a resolution and start now.

Maybe "The New Year's Lock-In at the West Cook YMCA" is your choice for kids in grades K-12 on December 31st.  The event begins at 8pm through 8am on January 1. There'll be swimming, sports, games, arts & crafts, a movie, snacks, and breakfast.  What a fun time for the kids and an evening out for parents!  For information, call Cari at 434-0230 or cchristoff@westcookymca.org.  

Now, here's another idea for 2011.  How about the being part of the annual 22nd Annual "St. Bernardine's Game Day"?  If it's been going  on for twenty-two years, it must be fun!  Come on over on January 2, 2011 for the Bears/Packers Game, all of the action shown on a 50" TV with raffles, games, and more, at St. Bern's, 815 Elgin in Forest Park.  Doors open at 11:30am.  Ticket price includes hors d'oevres, lunch, and beverages.  Information at www.StBern.com or 708-366-6890.
