Holiday Fun for Everyone this weekend

"Holiday Lights Plus, 2011" runs Friday, 12/9 through Sunday !2/11 in conjunction with "Home for the Holidays on Harrison" in the Oak Park Arts District, all along Harrison between Ridgeland and Austin in Oak Park.  Come visit for decorations, food, music, kids' actrvities, and creative shopping ideas.  Special concerts at Val's halla Records, 239 Harrison on 12/9, 12/10, & on 12/11.  See www.valshalla.com for details or visit www. oakparkartsdistrict.com

"Vintage Village Fayre" runs all weekend on Oak Park Ave in Oak Park.  Come to Scoville Square on Friday, 12/9 at 7pm for Santa's arrival and the tree lighting.  Photos with him on Saturday, 12/10 from 10 - 1pm.  There is so much going on here with refreshments, discounts at some of your favorite stores, food, music, and more.  See www.downtownoakpark.com for a complete schedule.

On Saturday, 12/10 at 10am, it's a Free screening of "Miracle on 34th St" at the Lake Theatre in Oak Park brought to you by your friends at Community Bank.  Get your free tickets at the bank, right across the street from the Lake.  

How about spending Sunday, 12/11 at 4pm with the Oak Park River Forest Symphony Orchestra.  They are performing at Dominican University, 7900 W. Division in River Forest. Tickets and info at www.symphonyoprf.com .  Come hear Beethoven, Mozart, and Stravinsky.  

A Free musical event is happening at the main Oak Park Library on Sunday 12/11 at 2pm.  It's the "Mamesloshin Yiddish Folk Singer & Story Telling" presented by Belind Bremner and fun for the whole family.  Details at www.oppl.org .
