If you enjoy what is tagged as Functional Art and Design, you must go to "SOFA" being held at Navy Pier in Chicago this weekend.  The exhibit starts, Friday, November 2 through Sunday, November 4.  It runs from 11am - 7pm and on Sunday from Noon - 6pm.  This event offers you some of the most unique, yet again, functional works by many of Chicago's best galleries.  Go to www.sofaexpo.com for tickets and details.

Closer to home, you can hear "art" with the magic of "Ian Maksin's" performance on Saturday, November 3 at 7:30pm.  The concert takes place in Frank Lloyd Wiright's masterpiece, Unity Temple.  Maskin and his cello have made music with such icons as Andrea Bocelli, Gloria Estefan, and Barry Gibb.  And, he is   internationally recognized as of one of the most innovative musicians of his generation.  Sample the attached clip and hear for yourself.  Tickets at www.utconcerts.com and at the door.
