The Oak Park Arts District invites you to DYOP - Design Your Own Present on Thursday, 11/17 and Friday, 11/18 from 5 - 9pm and then again on Saturday, 11/19 from 11am - 5pm.  This is your chance to work with some of Oak Park's most talented artists.  They'll help you customize your special holiday gifts.  And, don't forget that on Friday night, from 6 - 9pm it's also, The Third Friday Gallery Walk.  You can tour this wonderful area, talk to the artists, and have a meal at one of the great restaurants in the District which runs all along Harrison Street from Ridgeland Ave. to Austin.

For something a little different, join Jack Simmerman - Chicago Storyteller on Saturday, 11/19 at Unity Temple's Third Saturday Coffee House, 875 Lake Street in Oak Park.  He's a local legend.  Open Mic sign-up begins at 7:30pm and remember, it's acoustic only.  Donation of $3 - $5 with refreshments available for purchase.  Call 708-660-9376 for details.

Support our Troups, how, well come on over to "Laugh Therapy" being held at the Berwyn VFW Hall, 1529 Harlem on Saturday, 11/19.  Doors open at 6:30pm and showtime is at 7:30pm.  This fundraiser is for a very worthy cause.  You can also "hang-out" with the performing comics from 9 - 11pm.  Cash bar and more info at 630-215-8187.
