By Maria Murzyn
The Book Table is proud to introduce you to award-winning Linda Barry. She is one of America's most successful, non-mainstream cartoonists. Her cartoons often look at family life from the viewpoint of pre-teen girls from the wrong side of the tracks. Now, that's a different concept. Her novels have also been very well received, and she is credited with inventing the "graphic/memoir" literary genre. Come visit with her at Unity Temple, 875 Lake Street at 7:30pm on Tuesday, January 25th. Tickets can be reserved in advance at www.booktable.net for $10 and be used with purchase of her book, "Picture This". Tickets also at the door. Linda Barry has said: "I started doing cartoons when I was about 21. I never thought I'd be a cartoonist. It happened behind my back". Come to this event and get all the details!
